THE FILTER BANK
Depending on the intended use, the filters in a Controlled Mechanical Ventilation (CMV) system can be installed either in single filter banks or in multiple banks—that is, a combination of several filters arranged in series. In this case, the term filter bank refers to the presence of two or more filter units placed in sequence, forming a true filtering system.
Aircare’s advanced system is composed of two different types of filters:
- A combined filter, consisting of a G4 pre-filter and a high-efficiency nanofiber filter, positioned upstream of the heat exchanger at the outdoor air intake.
- A G3 filter, installed upstream of the heat exchanger on the exhaust air branch.
MAINTENANCE
System maintenance is limited to the simple cleaning of the filters—an extremely easy task. For the exhaust air filter, it is sufficient to rinse it under running water and dry it thoroughly before reinserting it. The intake air filter, if not excessively clogged, can be easily cleaned using a vacuum cleaner. When the filters can no longer be cleaned effectively, it is recommended to replace them to ensure optimal filtration performance.
